Buehler & Buehler (B&B) is a Sacramento-based structural engineering firm providing a wide range of structural engineering services throughout California and the Western United States. B&B, originally established in 1946 and re-structured in 1982, currently has a staff of 62 professionals including 20 registered structural engineers.
Over the last 62 years, B&B has provided structural engineering on over 6,800 projects for both private and public sector clients. B&B's project experience includes low- and high-rise office buildings, multi-story parking structures, data centers, federal and county justice buildings, medical facilities, hotels, educational facilities, industrial buildings, and military and correctional facilities. Services offered by B&B include new design, design-build, seismic retrofit, tenant improvement, rehabilitation and renovation.
Active participation on code committees, seminars and instructing engineering courses is what keeps B&B on the cutting edge of the most recent developments in the structural engineering design community. B&B currently has Principals serving on both the Code Committee and the Seismology Committee for the Structural Engineers Association of California. A Principal at B&B was one of the five members on the committee that prepared the 1991 Uniform Code for Building Conservation Appendix Chapter 1, "Seismic Strengthening Provisions for Unreinforced Masonry Bearing Wall Buildings."
B&B's success is based on its responsiveness, service and reliability. Continually recognized for excellent work by peers and clients, B&B has been honored by such entities as the Prestressed Concrete Institute, California Department of Water Resources and the U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command. Probably most noteworthy is the fact that approximately 91% of B&B's commissions are from repeat clients.
